Censored and Banned Horror Films - Page 5

A list of films that were challenged in the mid 80's during the Video Nasties debate. It's an interesting story, in case you've never heard of it. The lesson behind it is: when you ban something, even a terrible film that should have remained forgotten, people will suddenly want to see it. Not all of these movies made it onto the banned list. Some merely had controversial cover art or questionable subject matter in the film itself. I'm fairly certain some of the films were never even viewed by those who had the power to ban them. Check out Steel Claw: It's a war movie from 1961, but someone capitalized on the title and gave it awesome box art.
