Two years ago, I published a second list of my favorite film performances. Here is the third part in this series. It is a new list of 414 different performances that I have really enjoyed or found noteworthy over my many years as a film fan. Some of the performances on this list are ones that I neglected to include the last time. Others are from films that I had not yet seen two years ago. Some are among the most lauded of all acting jobs captured on film. Some are quite obscure. Some are starring roles. Others are supporting performances or even bit parts. A few are actually appearances by people as themselves in documentaries. All of these performances stayed with me for one reason or another. There are two performances repeated from my first list of favorite performances because better pictures were now available. One of these repeated performances is Judith Chapman in "Scalpel." I have represented this performance here in this list twice because it is a dual role.
