These books are the "Essential Reading" texts analysed in depth in the course "Classic Novels: Meeting the Challenge of Great Literature" developed by Professor Weinstein, who is the Edna and Richard Salomon Distinguished Professor of Comparative Literature at Brown University.
For those who have not yet read a particular book, the versions or translations in Slots 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14 &15 are those specified by Weinstein for his course. Of course if you have read an "In Search of Lost Time" translation you can also click on Slot 15.
