Discovering Westerns Part 5: Neo-Westerns

Part 5 in a series designed to be a crash course in discovering the western film genre. In this part we are looking at what is known as a neo-western. In these films we move away from the Old American West and place the themes of a western movie in a more modern setting, or that of a different landscape that might be considered a frontier, for which Australia is a semi-common choice, but it can also be futuristic and even post-apocalyptic.
