Donald Richie's Guide to Japanese Film - Page 4

Donald Richie was a film scholar who made his reputation critiquing Japanese cinema. This is his definitive list of the best of Japanese film, although I have to admit I find it a bit perplexing because a lot of the movies on this list really are not very good, or are not terribly notable (Scoutman is a good example).
