Atlas Obscura is one of the largest, most well-known and most impeccably awesome archives of amazing places, foods and experiences in the world.
Here is their list of places to see in the Empire State, New York! From a rainforest growing in a Manhattan office building, to the smallest museum in the world housed in a freight elevator, to a whimsical carousel of spinning, glowing fish, to a natural gas leak providing a flickering flame underneath a waterfall, New York has countless opportunities to spend your day (or lifetime).
