This list features every movie ever nominated for any kind of in-competition Oscar in the history of the Academy Awards ceremony. That means everything from Best Picture and Best Actor to Best Visual Effects and Best Short Documentary. You'll find that when you take in all the categories and not just the "big boys", it is quite a list of film history.
I apologize for the many blank or generic images. The vast majority are short films for which no image, or at least no usable image, could be found online. I tried to fill them out when I could, but this list already took several months of my down-time, so hopefully you'll forgive that.
Honorary Oscar nomination and awards are not included, nor are the very few that were later revoked.
