Peter Lindsay Weir, AM, is an Australian film director. Born 21 August 1944, he was a leading figure in the Australian New Wave cinema movement, and went on to direct world-renowned films. He has received BAFTA Awards for Best Direction and for Best Film, AACTA Awards for Best Direction and for Best Film, and a Cesar Award for Best Foreign Film, to name a few. Here listed is every released feature length film for which he has been director, writer, producer, actor, or uncredited production assistant (wake in fright).
