Farrah Leni Fawcett (born Ferrah Leni Fawcett; February 2, 1947 – June 25, 2009) was an American actress, fashion model, and artist. A four-time Emmy nominee and six-time Golden Globe nominee, Fawcett rose to international fame when she played a starring role in the first season of the TV series Charlie's Angels (1976–1977). She began her career in the 1960s appearing in commercials and guest roles on TV. During the 1970s, she appeared in numerous TV series, including recurring roles on Harry O (1974–1976), and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974–1978) with her then-husband, film and TV star Lee Majors. Her iconic red swimsuit poster sold 6 million copies in its first year of print. Fawcett's breakthrough role was the role of private eye Jill Munroe in Charlie's Angels, which co-starred Kate Jackson & Jaclyn Smith. The show propelled all 3 to stardom.
