Melanie Griffith (born 8/9/1957) is an American actress / producer. She began her career in the '70s, appearing in several indie thriller films before achieving mainstream success in the mid-1980s. Born in NYC to Hollywood icon Tippi Hedren & ad exec Peter Griffith, she was raised mainly in LA. In 1975, 17-year-old Griffith appeared in Arthur Penn's film noir Night Moves. She rose to prominence for portraying an adult actress in Brian De Palma's Body Double (1984), which earned her a National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress. Griffith's turn in Something Wild (1986) garnered critical acclaim before she was cast in 1988's Working Girl, which earned her an Oscar nom for Best Actress and won her a Golden Globe. The 1990s had Griffith in roles that received varying critical reception. She's retired and returned to films a few times, been married to both Don Johnson, Stephen Bauer & Antonio Banderas and remains a huge star. How many of her films have you seen???
