Susan Abigail Sarandon (/səˈrændən/; née Tomalin; born 10/4/1946) is an American actress & activist. She is the recipient of an Oscar, a BAFTA & a SAG Award, and has been nominated for many more. In 2002, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Sarandon began her career in the film Joe (1970). In 1975, she starred in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Sarandon was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for Atlantic City (1980), Thelma & Louise (1991), Lorenzo's Oil (1992) & The Client (1994), before winning for Dead Man Walking (1995). She's also won the BAFTA for Best Actress for The Client.
