Tom Hiddleston is an English actor who has appeared in film & TV and on stage. He made his film debut in 2007's Unrelated. He worked with the same director again in 2010's Archipelago. In 2008, Kenneth Branagh encouraged him to audition for the role of Thor in the 2011 film. After auditioning, Branagh thought he would be better suited for the role of Loki which then earned Hiddleston international recognition & the Empire Award for Best Newcomer. He then reprised the role in The Avengers (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and the spin-off TV series Loki (2021). Others include Spielberg's War Horse (2011), The Deep Blue Sea (2011), Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris (2011), Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) & Crimson Peak (2015).
