Films Anni Has Watched in a Year or So - Page 2

I've been getting into movies again lately. I mostly prefer more artsy/obscure stuff, and I've also been watching a lot of Godzilla movies and Japanese movies in general. The ones everyone else seems to love (for example, Godzilla 1954 and Godzilla Minus One) I wasn't in all honesty very impressed of, I guess my expectations were too high. Then again I loved Princess Mononoke and Ikiru a lot. Mother was great, the same directors Mickey 17 wasn't as great. The Boy and The Heron was very weird. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice was a mess. I liked Wicked a lot. The Evangelion reboot movies I didn't enjoy at all since they felt like the tv series done worse, in a more childish and fan service-y manner. The new character was extremely unnecessary. I should watch the Revolutionary Girl Utena movie again with a commentary. Annihilation was better than I expected. Elf I actually saw twice, and I felt that was two times too many. Kong: Skull Island felt barely like a movie. Tokyo Story made me sad
