This was the year of "Titanic". Jennifer Lopez scored with "Selena', then missed with "Anaconda". Nicolas Cage did well with "Con Air" & "Face/Off". Mike Myers debuted Austin Powers, and the fur flew in "Air Bud". Jack Nicholson & Helen Hunt eventually won Oscars for "As Good as It Gets". Also the year George Lucas came out with his Special Editions of the Star Wars trilogy(where Han Solo walks over Jabba the Hutt & gets away with it-seriously.Bleccch!) Other notable films-"Men in Black","Air Force One", "Contact", "L.A.Confidential" & "Boogie Nights" Awful sequels too-"Free Willy 3", the non-Culkin "Home Alone 3", nonsensical "Mortal Kombat:Annihilation", the fourth "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" with poor Matthew McConaughey & Renee Zellweger, "Speed 2", & the infamous "Batman & Robin". "The Lost World:Jurassic Park" was good, but did they have to use the same title as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous book? And a personal note to some list makers-"Anastasia" is not a Disney cartoon!
