The "Transformers" franchise took off at the box office, & the Spartans took on the Persians in "300". Lots of "threequels" from "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Shrek", "Spider-Man"(don't forget the hyphen people!), "Resident Evil", Jason Bourne, the Ocean gang & "Rush Hour". "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" was remade for the third (& hopefully last time) with Nicole Kidman, while other remakes include Rob Zombie's version of "Halloween", "3.10 to Yuma", "The Heartbreak Kid" & Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend" with Will Smith. Comedies that did well included "Knocked Up", "Juno" & "Superbad". Animated films include "The Simpsons", Jerry Seinfeld's "Bee Movie" & Pixar's "Ratatouille", while Marvel was represented by "Ghost Rider" & "Fantastic 4:Rise of the Silver Surfer". Other notable films include-"No Country for Old Men", "Disturbia", "Enchanted", "Zodiac", "Hot Fuzz" & "Eastern Promises". Couldn't confirm docs "The Cemetery Club" & "Revolucion".
