Heath Ledger won a well-deserved posthumous Oscar for his work in "The Dark Knight", while Brad Pitt aged backwards in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". Vampires were in again with "Twilight", though far superior is the original "Let the Right One In". The Marvel Cinematic Universe really took off with the first "Iron Man", not so much with "The Incredible Hulk". Pixar scored gold with "Wall-E", & Jack Black voiced the pudgy Po in "Kung Fu Panda". Old characters returned with "Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" & "Rambo", while the "found-footage" genre zenithed with "Cloverfield" & "Paranormal Witness". Some of the great foreign-language flicks include-"Tell No One"(based on an American novel), "I'ved Loved You So Long" & "Ben X". Other notable films-"Mamma Mia", "JCVD", "The Reader", "Persepolis", "Hellboy II:The Golden Army" & "Slumdog Millionaire".
