Found Footage Horror via RYM - Page 6

Found Footage Horror, as defined by Rate Your Music, is "a style of Horror that uses Mockumentary techniques, such as particularly shaky handheld camerawork, naturalistic acting and off-camera commentary, to create the sense that the film is composed of real, raw footage that has been left behind by the people who recorded it. Films of the genre may serve as a raw, authentic representation of such footage or as an edited version that has been fixed into a narrative, supposedly by the people who found it. The style can be traced back to Cannibal Holocaust (1980), though it later gained more popularity with films such as The Blair Witch Project (1999), Paranormal Activity (2007) and Cloverfield (2008)".
