Well, this List might get fewer looks or visits than I hope because it is a tad bit more personal than my other Lists (do we capitalize Lists/lists on List Challenges???... yeah I guess we can't google/Google everything...). My late Turkish father spent a fair amount of his childhood on the Turkish island of Buyukada, just off the coast from Istanbul, and he got his PhD from Virginia Tech at age 53 in 1973 when I was three years old. So from Blacksburg, Virginia/USA to Buyukada, Istanbul, Turkey, here is a list of places in America, the old country, and everywhere in between.
