"On crowded bookstore shelves, a good title can make all the difference in terms of commercial success. For authors of all types, choosing a title for your new book is both art and science.

Such is the inspiration for today's highly informal and entirely unofficial collection. Quite simply, these are book titles that caught the editorial team's collective eye this year. Seriously, it's that simple. We volley these back and forth all the time: "Ooh, that's a good title!"

As you shall see, the books collected here sprawl across all genres. Some evoke interesting mental images (The Pomegranate Gate). Others feature compelling declarative statements (Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone). And some are intriguing in a brain-stem kind of way (Do You Remember Being Born?).
