This list is not necessarily my favorite films to watch, although there is significant overlap. I hope this list inspires people to seek them out. There's one film here that I have not seen, and that is Intermezzo (1936). I included Intermezzo (1939), an American remake of the 1936 film, both starring Ingrid Bergman, and the site changed it on me. I have asked them to fix it.
