Helen Keller's Waking Dream - Page 2

Everyone should be in awe of the depth and breadth of Helen Keller's grasp of literature and the quality of her writing, given that she was both blind and deaf.
I have just finished reading Helen Keller's fascinating works 'The World I Live In' and 'Optimism'. These are books and writers she refers to in either work. Many are derived from Chapter XV of 'The World I Live In', which is titled 'A Waking Dream'.
Some works are named specifically, others I have made an educated guess at, usually on the basis of characters that are mentioned in the text.
At the end of the list is a series of writers that she only refers to by name. Some are present in her dream in odd guises, such as Molière speaking in Greek and Aristophanes in German. Check off these authors if you have read ANY of their works.
