HMV is a chain of shops in the UK that sell copies of music, film and television shows, as well as related merchandise. Each shop also has a couple of stands of cheap paperback books.Whoever the HMV executive is that chooses the books that are stocked, that person has very interesting taste. There's a batch of music biographies; and the original novels and memoirs that film and television have adapted for the screen. But there's also much, much else.
