Hunter X Hunter (1999) Anime Episode Guide - Page 3

In 1999, an anime adaptation of the popular manga ''Hunter X Hunter'' was produced by Nippon Animation. Lasting for 62 episodes, the series did ok in ratings, but did VERY well in home video sales. As such, the show was brought back in 2002 as a series of direct-to-video seasons, ending with the Greed Island arc (as by then the production had caught up with the manga).
