Four of my favorite books by each of some my favorite authors. I've tried to group the titles and authors by literary form and/or genre, and I have limited the list to fiction and drama only. Many favorite books and authors were omitted because I haven't finished four books by that author. I could have kept going, but I didn't want the list to become unwieldy.
