2025 has probably been the shortest year in my life, since I started it in Montevideo, Uruguay, and ended it in Sydney, Australia. It has also been the first time I've visited all six populated continents in one calender year (South America, North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania) - I will probably never do that again. It has also been the year I finally visited my 100th United Nations member country. But more important than continents or countries are of course the places I had the opportunity to visit this year. I am particularly happy about finally being able to visit the amazing cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva - a life-long dream for me.
