A list of Kenneth Turan's Second Fifty-Four Films, or rather his 57th-110th favorite films, in no particular favor apart from being listed chronologically. This existing information is withdrawn from his excellent, informational book of his favorite films: "Not to Be Missed: Fifty-Four Favorites from a Lifetime of Film." I cherished this endlessly readable and exhaustively personal book. I recommend anyone with a love of film to dive into his book.

The Up Series and Kieslowski's Decalogue (Dekalog) should be seen in their entirety. The Up Series has eight entries and counting as a documentary series exploring the lives of individuals as they discover life and age not dissimilar to the techniques attempted in Boyhood by Linklater. Decalogue is a ten part epic of vignette-like hour long films each based on a separate Ten Commandment.
