Europe has amazing big cities and picturesque villages and small towns to die for, but in between them there are also lots and lots of lovely little cities. Here is a list of 60 personal favourites of mine, 60 small cities with between say 25,000 and 100,000 inhabitants. Some are very popular with tourists from all over the world, others are virtually unknown, but all of them are worth a stop-over when you're in the vicinity. Picture is from Kavala, Greece.
