Markd9528's "Great Classics I've Not Read Yet"

This list is a follow-up to my recently published challenge 'Goodreads Great Classics YOU Have Not Read Yet.' There are still so many gaps in my reading of the classics that this could serve as a well-rounded TBR for anybody; in my case these will act as the core works of my reading over 2022-23 (and more than likely well beyond).
The books are all those that have been festering on my 1000+ book TBR pile for between 1 year and 3 years. At least I've updated lots of the covers.
