Mary's Most Disappointing Reads of 2019

These are the books that for one reason or another disappointed me this year. Being on this list doesn't necessarily mean I hated or even that I didn't like the book (the only one I can say I truly despised was "Gone Girl"). Some just weren't my cup of tea, and some just fell short of my expectations, either because of all the hype they've received or because they were written by authors whose previous works I've consistently enjoyed.
