More Foreign-Language Films Oscar Didn't Like 1996-2008 - Page 7

Continuation of my last list of films passed over for nomination for the Oscars. More recent & more recognizable stuff. Again some great movies passed over for fluff. Lots more countries had entries, mainly from the former U.S.S.R. & Yugoslavia. Other countries submitting entries include Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Morocco, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine(I know, not an "official" country), Afghanistan, Luxembourg & Tunisia. One interesting fact-looks like on 2 seperate occasions Finnish director Aki Kaurismaki withdrew his films from consideration. Strange.
