Most Sickening Films I've Watched - Page 2

These films are films I consider to be great or at the very least good. By no means are these films ones that I find repulsive due to lack in quality, no.. these are films that are so confrontational, so relentless within the portrayal of the subject matter, that watching them induces emotions that are hard to handle, rationalize or hide from. These are films that made me want to look away, wanting to pause and breathe for a second, films that brilliantly lead us into the realm that might seem terrifying to us.
Art is a place where we express what cannot simply be said, where we envision things we might not talk about in everyday life, where we confront our greatest fears, obsessions and repulsion, where we have the ability to delve into the profane. Cinema should be a place where we explore things that are out of the ordinary. Some of these films may have you feeling sick, thinking and contemplating morbid realities but within that I find value since the horrible is part of humanity.
