So yeah, this is every movie I saw for the first time in 2025, in chronological order. Definitely got into a pretty good swing of checking off a lot of glaring omissions, classics etc. Favorites in no order include American History X, Inland Empire, Masculin Feminin, Baraka, Red Rocket, The Conversation, Dr. Strangelove, Adaptation, Smokey and the Bandit, Let the Right One In, Singin' in the Rain, Salo or 120 Days of Sodom, Enter the Void, Pain & Gain, Paris Texas, Synecdoche New York, The Devils, Chinatown, 8½, Dog Day Afternoon, Weapons, Tar, We're All Going to the World's Fair, Eyes Wide Shut, Eastern Promises, Rear Window, The Sweet East, and Heat.
