As a break from my ongoing year-by-year list I thought I would have a go at listing the films I've seen by county, starting with where I currently live, Japan. The list is, until a few random adds at the end, chronolgical, so if you don't know too many early Japanese films you might want to skip forward a few pages.
I've made a couple on contentious choices in terms of what is a Japanese film, but no more than five or so (e.g. filmed in Japan, Taiwanese director (Cafe Lumiere), Japanese co-directors, American money (Tora!Tora!Tora!) Feel free to disagree with the choices.
As I am unlikely to do a seperate list for British or American films this is probably going to be the longest of the country lists.
