Some franchises hit a road block right before a sudden revival or a healthy reboot. However, some continue to stagnate, getting worse and more frustrating with each successive entry. There may be some promising moments that make it seem like the series could finally break the cycle, but we all know these series should have end now (or, if they've already finished, they should've done so a long time ago).
