Most movies are all about plot; what's happening now and what's gonna happen next. And while a lot of these movies do have stories, they're not really about narrative progression. These movies are about experiences; experiences of the mind, of nature, or the self, of the soul, and of the unconscious mind. There's almost a sense of aimlessness. You aren't really sure where the film is going next, although something compels you to keep watching, to keep swimming.
