We've come to think of it as the People in Your House book title trend. These are mystery and thriller novels in which the very title suggests that all is not well in the household. Sometimes it's family—the husband, the wife, the sister. Sometimes it's hired help—the maid, the nanny. And sometimes it's a troublesome, perhaps murderous, house guest. Clearly this speaks to some abiding primal fear that the home has been violated, the threat is nearer than you think, the call is coming from inside the house!
