Bearing in mind I've barely seen movies from before 1980, here are my all-time favourite actors (using the term gender neutrally). These are the performers who you see in the cast and think 'we're going to be ok'. There are a few underrated character actors in here who often don't get the big roles, but always pack a punch when they get to invent a character.
