Nautical Miles: Great Novels About the Sea

Our maverick English Teacher looks at the Sea Story and comes up with 60 novels about the Sea, and about the men and women who , one way or another, are drawn to it, obsessed with it, and fulfilled by it. Some are pure maritime adventures, some are war stories and thrillers, a few are supernatural tales, and several are metaphors for the human condition. Together, they form a checklist a terrific reads for this summer of social distancing, whether one is on or near the water.
