A very very slow year for yours truly. One big reason: WAR AND PEACE. It took me one week and two months, and I was reading nothing else at the time. What can I say, it's long! Longest book I have ever read. But I loved it.
I was surprised at how much I also loved GRAPES OF WRATH and how much I hated CATCH-22. I have not yet settled on what my favorite book of the year was.
Final notes. Not included in the list is that I listened to SKY DADDY on audiobook in 2025 and, despite some criticisms, basically thought it quite good. While I'm at it: in 2024 I listened to AFTER THE QUAKE on audio and even though the collection was uneven, I overall really really enjoyed it.
Happy New Year.
