One Book a Year 1500-2000 - Page 3

One book from every year of the modern era (as in post-medieval, roughly speaking) up to 2000. I've tried to avoid repeating authors too much - sometimes that's impossible, especially early on, but I've aimed for variety. There's a western bias, in part because I was searching in English, in part because I wanted the dates as accurate as possible to the Gregorian calendar, but someone with more knowledge than me could definitely do that better. Anyway, this was fun!
