Only The Most Passionate of Cinephiles Will Have Seen Every Film On This List - Is That You? A list for the true connoisseur of film.The movies chosen here are not necessarily obscure. They are not necessarily niche viewing either. In fact many will be considered to be mainstream. They just have to be movies that strike me, the list maker, as films that anyone who is really passionate about film should watch, due to their reputation's as exemplar film making. I have not necessarily seen them (yet) myself. Or if I have, they are not necessarily films I enjoyed, but I acknowledge their film making. The films aren't selected for the same reason in each case. It may be for how well they are shot, their use of sound, their storytelling or anything that makes them stand out as something special. The list is absolutely not intended to only represent art house film. A true cinephile is not a snob.
