"Is it time to reclaim the term "chick flick?" The idea that women only like one kind of movie is preposterous and insulting. At the same time, there are some movies that are simply better when watched with other women. And that's where our list of best "chick flicks" comes in. Like the "woman's pictures" of the last century (a dismissive label that encompassed some of the greatest films ever made), most of these films focus on women's stories, giving female stars a chance to show their range and letting great actresses share juicy scenes with one another. Some of them were critically maligned for being too cheesy or too raunchy, when in fact, we wouldn't want them any other way.
