Resting just off the coasts of both of Michigan's peninsulas and surrounded by Lake Huron, Mackinac Island is a beautiful place where non-emergency motor vehicles are strictly prohibited. It is especially famous for its horse-drawn carriages and fudge. You can ride over on a ferry and spend the day or make it your next vacation.
