Popular Aussie TV Shows From the 1970s

Here's a nostalgic trip down memory lane for Australian Television of the 1970s. It was the era for shows featuring Tough Cops and Rugged Detectives "Matlock Police" and "Ryan". Raunchy Sitcoms like "Number 96" and "The Box" and Satire to hoot. There were many Variety Talk and Talent Shows, Late Night Comedies and a host of Game Shows. Period dramas about Australia's colourful history such as "Rush" and "Cash & Company". Adventure shows, real or imaginary. It was thebeginning of all women cast shows, "Certain Women", a cross-dressing celebrity, "Aunty Jack", and even a show that had an Aboriginal as the main central character, "Boney". It was an era that was about pushing the boundaries.
