Popular Christian Spirituality -- 20th Century

This list of books represents a cross-section of what was popular among much of Evangelical, Protestant Christianity in the second half of the 20th century. The titles are either biographical/autobiographical in nature, or deal with matters of spirituality. Whether one agrees or disagrees with the views expressed, these books certainly have an historical relevance in understanding the trajectories of 20th century faith.At least two of these books "The Hiding Place" and "The Cross and the Switchblade" have been made into major motion pictures. A number have been released in "comic book" format as well!
