Pre 1980 Classic Children's Chapter Books You Should Read - Page 4

List of all the children's books I recall reading as a child. I did not include any Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys or Bobbsey Twins because I no longer recall which specific ones I read. All I know is that it was a lot! There were also about a dozen books I recalled that are not on the List Challenges website and I did not feel like fooling with uploading those missing books to the website. There are some books I think, "Maybe I read that?" and so I did not include those books since I don't have a vivid memory of them. I did not include picture books, only chapter books. YA was not a thing in the 1970's when I was a kid so I don't have any books listed that I consider YA. It WAS the 1970's though, so I'm sure I read books that in today's society would not be considered suitable for a kid in elementary school. Oh well. I read them and lived with no harm done. I also didn't wear a helmet when riding a bike or use a seatbelt in a car - kids were less constrained when I was little.
