Books that have stayed with me through the years and instantly come to mind when I have to mention books I love or books that have made an impression on me sometime in my life. These are not necessarily the best books I've read just the ones that have meant a lot to me for one reason or another. Many of these I have last read in my childhood/adolescence and haven't dared to revisit for fear of spoiling something. Most of the books that are important to me (a lot of poetry books for example) haven't been translated to English and are therefore missing from the list.
