Psychological Thrillers That Will Mess With Our Mind

A psychological thrillers that creates tension and builds suspense by focusing on the psychological state of one or more of its characters, such as their fears, anxieties, and confusion as they take place within the narrative. The characters' struggles and emotions usually serve as the lens through which the film is established. As a result, psychological thrillers are usually more subtle, thoughtful or contemplative in nature than other forms of thriller. The genre bears resemblances and sometimes even crossovers with Psychological Horror and Psychological Drama, which similarly place the psychology of characters within the film at the forefront of the narrative. Wide use of elements from Mystery is common in the genre, in accordance with mystery's focus on unknown, unexplained situations and puzzles, and the ways characters deal with them. Themes related to Crime like solving mysteries and detective work, as well as influences from Film noir, are also frequently incorporated.
