Publishers Weekly Bestselling Novels by Year, 1900-2014 - Page 2

Note: the numbers may seem a little off, since some books, like "Gone With the Wind" and "Anthony Adverse" were the top-selling titles of successive years in the 1930's, maybe because publishers were cutting back on new titles during the Depression. Also, the "Winston Churchill" who wrote so many bestsellers in the early 20th Century was an American author, not the British Prime Minister. Does that mean in 40 years, the UK will be led to victory in a world war by someone named John Green? I kinda hope not. World wars suck.
