Pulitzer Pre-Game 2022

The Pulitzer Prizes, including the award for Fiction, will be announced on May 9, 2022. The following list is compiled from the National Book Award shortlist, PPrize.com, a Goodreads poll, and a few of my own litfic faves from last year. Will a perennial powerhouse like Louise Erdrich, Richard Powers or Colson Whitehead add another trophy to their crowded cases? Will an unheralded up-and-comers like Robert Jones Jr. or Joshua Cohen find sudden fame?
Will the committee honor Honorée Fanonne Jeffers? Can Anthony Veasna So compel the judges that they name him the winner? And how much money will people lose by betting on Jonathan Franzen or Joyce Carol Oates? We'll know in a little more than a month!
